This course will provide students with an overview of the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to work in the field of psychosocial case management.

Topic areas include relationship building, assessment, goal setting, planning, linking to services, crisis intervention, and working with families. Social forces that influence the role will also be addressed including experiences of sexual abuse/trauma, substance abuse and ethnicity. The course will be of particular benefit to those currently working with or considering working with psychiatric survivors.
