Overview

Sound financial management ensures that there are adequate monetary resources to meet organizational strategic goals.

Upon completion of this course, students will gain an understanding of the financial responsibilities and activities required for a management role in a non-profit organization. This course will provide practical information on how to create, monitor and analyze financial information, as well as how to use financials to assess and measure organizational success.

Students will be prepared to:

  • understand financial statements and budget preparation
  • comprehend the development, analysis and tracking of program budgets and reports
  • develop budgets for grant and funding applications.
