Topics covered include: historical perspectives; changing attitudes to developmental disabilities; laws protecting people with intellectual disabilities; causes, prevention and emerging research; advocacy, growth, inclusion, and empowerment of people with developmental disabilities; issues facing families with members who are intellectually disabled; and inclusive education.
