Overview

This course is designed to introduce students to social justice as a framework for settlement services. The course will focus on introducing students to the concepts of diversity, social justice and anti-oppression. We will address both theoretical as well as practical issues that confront settlement workers and their clients faced with various forms of social oppression including racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, and classism as well as the parallels and interconnections among them.
