This is a technical mathematics course designed specifically for learners attending the Fire Foundations program. It reviews and enhances topics In arithmetic, measurement, algebra, logarithms and trigonometry, with emphasis in relevant applications. The course will cover basic math concepts and tools necessary for making math calculations In the field, for Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention. Fire Fighting topics Include calculating water volume, weight and flow rates, determining pump pressure and friction loss. Fire Prevention topics Include occupant load and water flow rate calculations.
