This course focuses on ethical issues faced by Individuals as citizens and professionals. Students will be introduced to a number or ethical and professional issues that occur in the Fire Service. Through interactive class discussion, students will be challenged to apply their learning to a variety of realistic case studies. The case study approach requires active participation or all students in order to enhance the learning experience. In addition, students will develop a clear understanding or themselves and their skills as they examine their role In the Fire Service team. Mental health awareness and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) for emergency services personnel will be explored. Team building and interpersonal skills development will be emphasized to achieve the skills required for excellence in customer service.
