In this course, students learn the key phases and steps in the risk management cycle, including how to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks. Students study standardized risk analysis methodologies used in both the private and public security fields. The course explores methodological variations in assessing risk, including variations in data collection and risk calculation techniques. Experiential learning complements the theoretical foundations of risk management. Students participate in guest lectures from risk management practitioners and are introduced to related employment opportunities in the security field.
