This course provides a detailed analysis of the theory and application of behavioural therapy techniques in contrast with cognitive techniques for use in individual counselling settings. Behavioural and cognitive strategies and their appropriate use in individual psychotherapy will be examined, followed by a thorough review of techniques to consider when conducting assessments and collecting behavioural observations. A strong emphasis will also be placed on preparing professional reports and charting therapy outcomes for use in multidisciplinary settings.
