Course Code: CYC 214
Academic Year: 2019-2020
The students will spend four days a week, for fifteen weeks in an internship setting relevant to CYC practice, working directly with children, youth and their families. Internship will provide opportunities for CYC students to work from a developmental and ecological perspective, to assess and respond to the strength and needs of various client groups, and to maintain an anti-oppression perspective in their work. The Internship will also provide opportunities for students to form therapeutic relationships and use moment-to-moment, daily life events as opportunities to promote and facilitate positive change. This course is a prerequisite for CYC 258 and CYC 353.
