From June 1 to 2, 2017, Humber College hosted the Annual OACYC Provincial Conference. The event was a huge success as over 250 Child and Youth Care practitioners, educators and students from across Ontario came to Humber College to share their expertise on the CYC field.

Pre-conference activities began with Educators Day, where 30 CYC practitioners came to share their ideas, resources and strategies for advancing the CYC curriculum. This event was organized by Charlotte Serpa and Wolfgang Vauchon and was hosted by Juanita Stephens and Charlotte Serpa.

The conference officially started with a welcome speech from Shelly Charles, where she discussed the importance of listening to and supporting children and youth. Later, Heather Snell, a Humber Retiree, gave an amazing Key Note speech.

Thanks to Charlotte Serpa and Wolfgang Vauchon for organizing this amazing event and to all the CYC professionals for attending.
