The SSCS is pleased to announce that Nora Simpson is the successful candidate for the role of Associate Dean in the School of Social and Community Services. Having joined Humber nearly five years ago in the role of Associate Director, Accessible Learning Services, Nora has successfully led a talented team of accessibility and testing professionals and has implemented a number of initiatives including a new staffing model that assigns at least one Accessibility Consultant to each of Humber’s academic schools to best leverage resources and cultivate faculty relationships. She has also implemented new software tools including the faculty portal for accommodation letters and the electronic test submission platform. Her leadership within the institution has also included roles co-chairing the Strategic Enrollment Management Working Group on improving employment outcomes for students with disabilities and as an Executive Member of the College Committee on Disability Issues. In addition to this professional background, Nora's commitments to the issues of social justice continue through her work in the community where she continues to hold board appointed roles and positions of advocacy for a variety of community agencies and associations.
