Humber has a network of Centres of Innovation (COIs) that brings together interdisciplinary teams of faculty, students, and community and industry partners to solve complex, real-world problems. COIs provide an experiential learning environment for Humber students and prepares them to become the innovative and strategic problem-solvers of tomorrow.
Humber’s potential for social innovation focuses on multidisciplinary approaches to facilitate the removal of barriers, community capacity development through the co-creation of solutions that address current societal challenges on a local, national and global level. Projects in this area aim to address challenges and create social opportunities by collaborating with community members and partners to take collective action. Projects through Humber's Centre for Social Innovation create opportunities for students in the Faculty of Community & Social Services as well as across all Humber Faculties through Humber's Centres of Innovation Network.
