FI students compete in CSI Challenge

Tags: February 2023, Vol. 3, Issue 2

A group of students from the Forensic Identification program are headed to the Robert Fram CSI Challenge, held February 24-26, 2023, at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Led by faculty members Mike Gamble and Debbie Harris, both former detectives, the teams will compete with others joining from colleges and universities across North America, to solve a simulated crime scene.

In 2019, a team from the Justice Studies program at Guelph-Humber, won.

The FI teams will be training weekly for six weeks leading up to the competition. Not only is this a fun experience, but a wonderful opportunity for students in the one-year program, to increase their knowledge and skills under the close direction of experienced and respected former police. We wish both teams well in Maryland.
