The Faculty of Social and Community Services (FSCS) aare excited to have welcomed incoming exchange students again for the first time since before the pandemic. We welcomed five students from the Netherlands and Vietnam, enrolled in our Bachelor of Child & Youth Care, Bachelor of Addictions and Mental Health, Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Behavioural Science programs.
As part of their welcome and support, the FSCS are also launching a Global Peer Guide Group, where upper year students in the same programs are paired as ‘guides’ to the exchange students during the semester. This Co-Curricular Record (CCR) certified experience gives exchange students an opportunity to participate in events that help students expand their community of support and build friends while at Humber. CCR events also give out guides an opportunity to develop mentorship skills and, all while attending fun activities and events. Some of the events planned for the group this semester includes a Global Games Night, a Wellness Event, and a Farewell event.
