Cole's Experience at Humber

Please tell us about your time at Humber College. What was the best part of it?

Humber Lakeshore was an excellent experience. The campus is small yet feels like a real university experience. The best part of my experience was the faculty. My professors were all extremely engaging and had great experience that taught me almost as much as the program itself. Being current and retired police officers and lawyers, they had answers to all my questions.

Please tell us about your experience since graduating.

Since graduating, I worked security and emergency response positions for almost 2 years. It gave me practical experience and I got to work in some very cool roles such as firefighting and bear control on a golf course in the mountains in BC. For the past two years, I have been working as a narcotic detection K9 handler. I work for a private company in Fort mcmurray working my dogs on oil sands sites. My degree was a big reason as to why I was considered for this role, and I am now working my dream job. Thanks to it, I get to be with my dogs everyday.

What do you find most satisfying about your career choice?

Getting to go to work every day with my dogs.
