Please tell us about your time at Humber College. What was the best part of it?
My time at Humber College was amazing. Taking classes with the amazing professors at Humber was a highlight. Meeting like-minded peers and preparing myself for further endeavors with proper life skills and preparation for the field lead me to be properly present myself into the future. For me, the best classes were those that ensured growth, communication, and professionality.
Please tell us about your experience since graduating.
Since graduating, I’ve run programs throughout Ontario and have helped establish the youth hub programs across Ontario. I’ve also taught workshops to teachers on how to code with the WCDSB and trained others to be prepared and handle situations in YMCA’s and Group home situations.
I’ve also used Humber as a steppingstone into furthering my education as UoG has connections to Humber, many of my CYC credits transferred me into an honors program in Psychology.
What do you find most satisfying about your career choice?
Being able to actively make a change in the future of others. I flourish in helping others succeed and ensuring proper growth in the field. Helping everyone helps prepare me for the future as I prepare to go into further clinical work; I'm planning to either go into an agency, conducts and procedures in Ontario or further into psychology.
