Viktoria's Experience at Humber

Please tell us about your time at Humber College. What was the best part of it?

Reflecting on my time at Humber College, it feels like I was navigating through a maze of possibilities, with each class presenting its own unique puzzle to solve. The practical approach to learning allowed me to turn abstract theories into tangible skills, thanks to the guidance of some remarkable professors who acted as guides of knowledge throughout my journey. Looking back, Humber wasn't just a school; it was a place of exploration and discovery that shaped my understanding in significant ways. As for the best part of it all, it was definitely the hands-on experience and the mentorship I received, which made the entire experience truly memorable.

Please tell us about your experience since graduating.

Since graduating, my career path has been like exploring a vast landscape of opportunities, each role offering its own set of challenges and rewards. From delving into data analysis as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Peel Regional Police to refining investigative skills as a part-time OSINT investigator at Investigative Risk Management, and even stepping into academia as a part-time instructor at Humber College, every experience has contributed to my growth in meaningful ways. My current position is a Data Analyst with Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General.

What do you find most satisfying about your career choice?

What I find most satisfying about my career choice is the thrill of solving complex problems. Whether it's analyzing public safety data or understanding crime trends, the joy lies in the process of problem-solving itself, where every solved puzzle feels like a triumph in the pursuit of excellence.
