Anti-Black Racism Course

Professor Everton Lewis taught a new class to our Bachelor of Community Development students this year, titled “Anti-Black Racism: Critical Theory and Practice”. The course was developed through a collaboration between Lewis and his colleagues, Natalie Blake Noel and Morris Beckford, with support from FSCS Associate Dean Theresa Knott and the Community Development Program Coordinator, Linda Hill. The course goes beyond overt racism and covers white privilege and white supremacy as a foundation of systemic racism.
