BBS Faculty Present at Aging and Developmental Disabilities Event

Dr. Mehta, faculty in the Bachelor of Behavioural Science (BBS) program, presented at a session in the ‘Aging and Developmental Disabilities’ conference, held by the Ontario Association on Developmental Disabilities on November 8th and 9th, 2023. Dr. Mehta presented on the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) projects undertaken by students in BHSC 3000, Aging and Dementia, in conjunction with students in the Occupational Therapy and Nursing programs at University College Absalon in Denmark. The COIL projects developed strategies for the creation of dementia friendly communities. Roma’s session highlighted how students can benefit from international learning and cross discipline sharing of expertise.
