FSCS Hosts Hiring Information Sessions with York Regional Police Services

FSCS hosted two hiring information sessions in January 2024. York Regional Police (YRP) spoke to students about the hiring process and requirements, answered students’ questions and met with interested and eligible candidates. Close to 90 students attended from a range of programs, including Police Foundations (PFP), Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI), Forensic Identification (FI), Bachelor of Social Science – Criminal Justice (BSSCJ), and Community and Justice Services (CJS).

YRP hosted their testing in March at their Headquarters. Students who attended underwent a PBQ (pre-background check) and the fitness prep test in front of YRP recruiters. Successful candidates were moved towards interviews and formal background checks from YRP for a potential hire date of Summer 2024 as full-time YRP police constables.
