FSCS SIM Lab Hosts Serious Gaming Workshop in Collaboration with FMCA

On January 18th, 2024, the Faculty of Social & Community Services (FSCS) collaborated with the Faculty of Media, Creative Arts and Design (FMCAD) to host a Serious Gaming student workshop. FSCS Simulation Specialists Jeffrey Ng and Kevin Gonneau, and Simulation Technologist, Beshsta Sadaat, facilitated SIM Lab workshops for 29 students from the Interactive Media Management program. Students were provided the opportunity to experience various simulations within FSCS’ labs, using VR headsets, online simulations, and the Mobile Situational Awareness Training System. They also had the chance to use the Driving Simulator, Theatre 180 System, and Online Simulators. The workshops provided students with the opportunity to experience, analyze and design their own simulations using the latest in digital technology.
