Peer Fit Challenge

The fifth annual Peel Regional Police (PRP) FIT challenge was a way for PRP to highlight their relationship with local Greater Toronto Hamilton-Area (GTHA) Colleges. Students from eight community colleges’ law enforcement related programs were competing this year, along with a small group of Peel Police cadets. This allowed students to showcase their physical fitness by completing the PIN test, a fitness assessment combining core endurance, flexibility, strength and cardio. This made for a fun and interactive day where students got a chance to network with other students and more importantly, recruiters with PRP.
Students from Humber’s Police Foundations (PFP) program took part in this challenge. Student Mohammed said “We did very well. I met a few police officers and I got my questions answered, and also I checked the application that I applied for Auxiliary Police at Peel regain. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and get some information about my future job.”
Student Lakhwinder said “It was a great event and we both had fun. I have some questions regarding the physical tests and the requirement process and I learned about them from the officers. we engaged with officers and talk about policing and all. Overall, we learned a lot today.”
