The Faculty of Social and Community Services is excited to welcome back Jhanelle Peters, Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), to speak with students, staff and faculty about managing stress and anxiety. Having worked in Canada and the United States, Jhanelle has connected with individuals from diverse populations helping them uncover negative patterns and behaviours that make life challenging. Through her diverse experience as a Sports Psychology Coordinator for the Athletics Department of Pepperdine University, and as the former Mental Health Clinician for the Toronto Raptors, Jhanelle is passionate about promoting mental wellness amongst diverse audiences and will be identifying and developing self-care strategies to reduce anxiety and promote positive self-talk.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the 8th Annual Alexandre Boucher Memorial Lecture is an event held in memory of Alexandre Boucher, Criminal Justice Degree student to raise awareness and provide support to the Humber community.
