Powerful Pedagogy in Practice

Faculty and staff gathered on October 22nd for a fall conference organized by the FSCS Teaching and Learning Work Group (TLWG). The day consisted of an arts-based activity to discuss teaching approaches, a panel of faculty who shared their learning 'in the trenches' and a series of afternoon workshops on teaching tools and resources.

The conference was successful in bringing together faculty and staff in order to network and learn. The TLWG will be planning winter and spring conference days this academic year, and, will begin a Lunch and Learn Community of Practice focused on accessibility and universal design in November. They will also be working on planning a winter reading week faculty conference.
