The article explores negotiation theory and principals to guide investigators in dealing with suspects who issue an ultimatum when being questioned by police, and, outlines tools for investigators in how to deal effectively with such ultimatums.
In the article, Kerry outlines four steps that investigators can take to support the creation and maintaining of productive dialogue with suspects.
