Degree Level Placements

Each Degree includes an Work Placement component. This experience is integral to the curriculum and is a requirement for graduation. Degree-level students can complete the Field Placement component as a block of consecutive weeks of full-time activity. Opportunities to complete the same amount of hours on a part-time basis are also available to students in certain semesters and must be discussed and planned far in advance with the Field Placement Coordinator.

Students are normally required to complete this Work Placement as scheduled in the program curriculum, prior to commencing the courses scheduled in the fourth year of study. Students who experience difficulty in completing the requirement as scheduled should contact their Program Coordinator as soon as possible to discuss alternatives. Degree students who do not complete the required Work Placement prior to the final academic year of study will be required to defer their final academic semester requirements until the Work Placement requirement is successfully completed; this may delay graduation.
