Placements have a set start and end date that coincide with the beginning and end of each academic term; students are expected to complete the required number of hours connected to the field course by the end of the term and not before or after. In order for a passing or Satisfied (SAT) grade to be entered for the course, all hours must be completed and all documentation and assignments must be turned in to the Seminar Instructor/Faculty Supervisor prior to the end of term or as stated on the course outline.
Students are required to complete all placement hours and submit completed documentation by the end of the semester. In cases where students are absent from placement, arrangements should be made by the student to make up any lost/needed hours within that semester. If the students’ class schedule and/or agency schedule will not allow hours to be accrued within the term, students should notify their Seminar Instructor/Faculty Advisor to request an extension at least four (4) weeks before the end of the semester. All efforts should be made for students to complete field courses within the term as extensions are not guaranteed.
